Basketball
Platteville Recreation offers basketball for kids Pre-k - through 6th grade, K-2 Basketball League and NVAA Basketball for 3rd-6th grade participants. These programs are designed to promote good sportsmanship, teamwork while teaching the rules and fundamentals of the game of basketball. Through this program your child should be: developing the skills needed to play, learning the basic rules of the game, creating friendships, and most importantly having fun! Scholarships are available to help those in need of assistance. Click here for a scholarship form. Please note on your child’s registration if you have particular days and times that they cannot practice. Player/coach requests are welcome but cannot be guaranteed.

NVAA Basketball

Join us this winter for boys and girls NVAA Basketball. We will be offering basketball for grades 3-6 starting in January 2027.

Early Bird Registration- $65 10/7-10/21

Regular Registration - $75 10/21-12/5

Late Registration - $85 12/5 - 12/9 IF POSITIONS AVAILABLE

First game - 1/16/2027

As with all youth sports we are dependent on volunteers for coaches. If you are interested in coaching be sure to fill out the coaches application on your account. Please contact the recreation staff to put in your practice day/time requests.

Tri Valley Little Ballers Tee Ball and Coach Pitch League Join the Fun with Tri Valley Little Ballers! Get ready for an exciting season of Tee Ball and Coach Pitch with the Tri Valley Little Ballers league! Our program is perfect for young athletes looking to learn the fundamentals of baseball, develop sportsmanship, and build leadership skills in a fun and supportive environment. Age Groups: Tee Ball: Ages 4-6 Coach Pitch: Ages 6-8 Who Can Join? Open to both boys and girls. Practice Schedule: Practices are held in parks across Platteville, Monday through Friday in the evenings. Starting the week of May 19. Please remember we need all teams to have a coach before we can start practices. Game Schedule: Games will be held on Tuesday or Thursday evenings in Platteville, La Salle, and Kersey. Volunteer Coaches Needed: We rely on the dedication of volunteers to coach our teams. If you're interested in coaching, please contact the Recreation Department. Registration Fees: Early Bird Registration: $65 (3/14 - 4/4) Regular Registration: $75 (4/5 - 5/2) Late Registration: $85 (5/3 - 5/16) Additional Information: If your child has not played a sport in 2026, be sure to order a Platteville Recreation reusable shirt for the 2026 sports season for $10.
